TWS Gives You Protection

When having work done on your home, it is essential that you are covered against unforeseen circumstances from the outset of the project. Some installers just 'offer' protection, often leading to consumers believing that they are covered when in fact they are not. As a CPA accredited installer, TWS 'gives' you this protection as part of their service.

CPA Deposit Protection Scheme

The CPA Deposit Protection Scheme safeguards any deposits for up to 90days from the day you pay the deposit up to 25% of the contract price maximum cover £7,500, whichever is lesser.

The guarantee covers you for up to 90days from the date that you pay your deposit. In the unlikely event of the company that you have paid the deposit to ceasing to trade due to liquidation, receivership, administration or winding up the business due to bankruptcy, state retirement or death of the principal(s), your deposit will either be refunded to you in full, or arrangements made for the work to be completed by another CPA accredited company at the balance agreed price.

Important notice: When paying your deposit, you MUST ask your CPA accredited contractor for a Deposit Registration form and this must be returned to the CPA by recorded delivery within 7days. Failure to register your deposit will result in you not being covered.

CPA Insurance Backed Guarantee

The CPA Insurance Backed Guarantee provides you with valuable protection in the unlikely event of your CPA contractor ceasing to trade as a result of liquidation or bankruptcy. The guarantee is valid for the entire time that your contracted company is trading and so any faults should be corrected by them.

In the unlikely event that the CPA accredited company ceases to trade due to liquidation, receivership, administration or winds up the business due to bankruptcy, state retirement or death of the principal(s), faults that appear after they cease to trade will be covered by the CPA Insurance Backed Gurantee. Depending on the level of work done, the guarantee will cover you for 10years and is backed up by an authorised insurer.

Important Notice:
You must apply for your CPA Insurance Backed Guarantee within 28days of the contract being completed to your full satisfaction and once you have paid the CPA accredited contractor. Request a copy of the Insurance Backed Guarantee Application Form from your CPA contractor. Once the CPA receive it, they will process it and issue you with an Insurance Certificate within 28days. Please note that without the certificate you are not covered, so if you do not receive it within 28days, contact the CPA.
